Small Animal Client Waiting List Request Form

At Algoma Veterinary Clinic, we are proud to serve the families, farms, and animals of the Algoma region. As a rural mixed animal practice in the Algoma region, our commitment is to provide dependable, high-quality veterinary care to our community.

At this time, we are not actively accepting new companion animal (small animal) clients due to limited appointment capacity and the ongoing shortage of veterinarians affecting rural communities across Northern Ontario. Like many veterinary clinics, we are experiencing demand that exceeds the number of available veterinarians and appointment spaces.

Our priority is to ensure we can continue providing safe, timely, and comprehensive care to our existing patients while maintaining sustainable working conditions for our veterinary team.

If you are seeking care for a dog or cat, you may complete our New Small-Animal Client Waiting List Request Form for consideration should space become available. To do so, click on the button on the right-hand side of this page.

Please note:

  • Submission of the form does not guarantee acceptance.

  • Requests are reviewed based on clinic capacity, geographic location, number of pets, and medical circumstances.

  • Complete medical records from any previous veterinary clinic are required prior to establishing care.

  • Due to the volume of inquiries, we are unable to provide individual status updates.

If space becomes available and we are able to proceed, a member of our team will contact you directly.

Please note that we are continuing to accept farm and large animal clients. If you require services for cattle, horses, sheep, goats, or other large animals, please contact our office directly by phone (705-782-6225) or email (algomavet@gmail.com).
